Happy 11th annual Cinco de Hive-O! The Storyhive turns 11 today.

Our story began on May 5, 2014, and we’ve been helping clients tell theirs through video ever since.

In this time, we’ve led with our story-first approach, helping our clients solve issues such as how to communicate with their colleagues, clients, policy makers, investors, board members, voters and other stakeholders. Whether it's a creative production complete with professional actors or a safety video with employees, we’ve gotten it done on time and on budget.

The Storyhive’s highlights since 2014 include:

We’ve created thousands of videos -- over 1 bee-jillion megabytes -- that have launched new brands and IPOs, sold products and responded to crises. We’ve told stories onshore and offshore, up in the air and from the sea. We’ve helped nonprofits and startups surpass their fundraising goals. For example, Rollin’ Vets raised $1 million in just three weeks with the help of our video.

We traveled to 40 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. and as far away as Scotland (twice), Mexico (twice) Canada (multiple times), Brazil and the Czech Republic for our clients. We’re ready to go to Hawaii and Alaska and a few more continents, hint hint.

We built a whopping 10,000-square-foot studio that includes an 16-foot-tall white cyc. Our space has hosted multiple organizations, including Aurora Picture Show, SWAMP, Texas Media Production Alliance and Creative Mornings, among others. Our team members acquired HUET certifications and went offshore twice for bp last year. HUET stands for Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and that certification allows us to safely film on offshore oil platforms.

Our team of 13 full-time Hivesters, including four animators, and our videos have won multiple awards.

And we’ve supported local and national nonprofit organizations not only with our videos but also with our labor.

We’re grateful to our clients, friends and relatives who have supported us, given us advice, connected us with potential clients and shared our social media posts. We’ve had so many unique opportunities thanks to our clients. Our story continues, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us.
